M&A Origination Manager

As Blinqx takes its first steps into the German market, you will become our key representative in the region. Your mission: to identify, approach, and build strong relationships with SaaS founders and business owners throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

This is a high-impact role with a clear mandate: lay the foundation for our growth in German-speaking countries, working closely with our experienced M&A team in the Netherlands. The role is fully remote, with regular meetings at our offices in Amsterdam or Rotterdam. You are both independent and well-connected, ensuring Blinqx is recognised and respected in the German SaaS landscape.

What you will do

As Origination Manager, you will be the bridge between Blinqx and the German SaaS community. You will conduct market research, initiate direct outreach, and engage in professional conversations with founders and company owners. Your focus is on developing long-term, trust-based relationships and identifying potential acquisition opportunities that fit our strategic goals. You ensure a seamless process from first contact to the handover to our M&A team, while remaining involved as a reliable advisor.

Your responsibilities

  • Proactively source and engage with SaaS founders and owners across Germany
  • Build and maintain a professional network of founders, business owners, and key industry contacts
  • Manage the entire outreach cycle: from research and first contact to professional conversations, using phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings
  • Qualify leads and opportunities with a clear understanding of market fit and business potential
  • Prepare and schedule introductory meetings between founders and our senior team, ensuring each contact is well-prepared and meaningful
  • Coordinate smooth handovers to the M&A team, and remain available as a trusted point of contact
  • Keep our CRM up to date, document relevant insights, and share your market knowledge with the Blinqx team
  • Represent Blinqx at relevant industry events, monitor market developments, and actively share trends from the German SaaS sector

About the team

The M&A team at Blinqx is focused on action, ambition, and sustainable growth. Our four dedicated colleagues collaborate closely with the COO, CEO, and Hg to guide every acquisition from the first introduction to completion. Our roots are in Rotterdam, but we work flexibly from Amsterdam, our home offices, and wherever opportunities arise. We are committed to building strong relationships and delivering results that contribute directly to Blinqx’s long-term strategy.

What you bring

  • 2-15 years of experience in direct investment origination (e.g., PE, VC, growth equity, corporate M&A)
  • You are a self-starter, comfortable with independent work and building something new
  • Confident and professional in outreach: by phone, email, and at industry events
  • You build trust easily and are respected by founders and business owners
  • You recognise valuable opportunities and have a strong sense for market dynamics
  • Organised and thorough: you manage your pipeline and priorities with care, even in busy times
  • Fluent in both German and English
